I had a few days away with like minded ladies... stopping at lots of fabric stores, antique shops, a book barn / winery and more... as well as viewing gorgeous scenery.
And who doesn't EnJoY spending a few dollars on some gOOdies...
And how good is it also to be able to whip up a carry pouch for your power battery & cords for the trip. I just LoVe projects that are quick AND you get to use scraps on... WiN win I say... !!!
I even had a zipper pull from a past trip to Nikki Tervo's shop...
I used up more zippers that I had in my cubbyhole... (I bought packets of 10 for $2 in various colours)... on these last few TriAngle Pouches. I used lots of different fabric colours too... so these will be really handy to have in the gift box. I can always add a pincushion, another bag or tools to make a very usable gift.
The FREE "pouch" pattern is over HeRe on my web page under CRaFTy.
Thanks Wendy... for having us over at Friday Night Sew In...over HeRe.
I was working on a Christmas Tree Skirt for DD#2 & after adding the "snow" around the bottom this week... I have finished the top. I am off to a retreat next month so this is one project I will take & hopefully get it sandwiched & quilted while there. That's the plan anyways...
For now... it's packed away with the backing & batting all ready to go.
I have quite a collection of pincushions... & I just LoVe each & every one of them too.
Some have been received as swap gifts... some gifts from friends... a few made by my brother... a couple from me to me... some even purchased at a local FeTe or Guild.
No matter how I accumulated them... they sit with pride of place in my cubbyhole.
I have grouped them together so you can get a better look.
for the month of AuGusT... totalled 4.
Thanks again to Peg from HeRe... & Kris from HeRe for being hosts & accountants...
Its always helpful having a goal each month regardless of the actual number finished.
